was started by Jay and Mary Bettman in 1993.  We serve delicatessen type food.

  Chicken Salad, Roasted Turkey, Roast Beef , Corned Beef, Pastrami and more.  We also cater box lunches and assorted sandwich trays for local businesses.  Our restaurant seats somewhere between fifty and sixty people.  Fortunately our operations have expanded into our dining room as we’ve needed more storage, refrigeration and production space.

In 2006 Chef’s Café received it’s H.A.C.C.P. license from the State of Ohio.  This enabled us to start selling our Chicken Salad wholesale to grocery stores.  We started in a local grocery store called Jungle Jims.  By the end of the second year we averaged 250 pounds a week in sales.  Just around that time we started selling our Chicken Salad at Bigg’s grocery store.  We supply two locations for an average of about 240 pounds a week.

Along the way we were asked to ship our Chicken Salad, by this time affectionately named World Famous Chicken Salad to locations outside Cincinnati.  We really never considered shipping until now.  After much searching and experimenting we’ve been able secure local producers of insulated coolers and ice packs to keep shipping cost under control.  Our products ship cold and stay cold.  Very important when dealing with Mayonnaise based products.  Shipping prompted us to create a website for easy ordering of shipping products.
